The “Ballet Folklorico de la Universidad Veracruzana” has performed in many important places in Mexico, including the National Palace of Fine Arts, as well as in important venues abroad. They are one of the most notable Folkloric performers in Mexico due to their authenticity and adherence to Mexican traditions. The Ballet has received many awards and recognitions or their outstanding shows and quality when performing.

The “Ballet Folklorico de la Universidad Veracruzana” will present an unforgettable program at the Mexican Pavilion 2018 at Folklorama. Through a theatrical show of folklore from the State of Veracruz and neighbor states, we will be able to observe ancestral and current traditions of the indigenous and mestizo peoples of Mexico. We will appreciate a fusion of culture inherited from the arrival of the Spaniards and the influence of the rhythms brought by slaves from Africa, giving as a result the Jarocho identity. The mix between: indigenous, Spanish and African, originated a rich range of social groups, traditions and dances that are still preserved in many places of Mexico, which will be represented in this special program. A unique show with live music not to be missed!
